With the 'Access intranet' option on (possible only with the RTN66U in 'router' mode) the clients on the Guest network are isolated from the other networks, but can see the other devices on the same Guest network. The whole reason I wanted to set-up a Guest network was to put all my IoT devices on it to isolate them.īut, I realized something else about the ASUS implementation of the Guest network. Went back to the office and connected to Guest WiFi on main router. Ran Fing and saw THE WHOLE FRIGGIN NETWORK!?! This included not just WiFi devices but those wired to ports on the main router (PC and NAS). Still on Guest WiFi but now connected to AP. Ran Fing and and all it saw was the router. I was in my office and it connected to the my main Router. Yesterday I put my phone on the Guest WiFi to test what it can see. They are the only devices that connect to that network, the rest of the clients connect to my main WiFi.Īll was good in that when I ran Fing on my phone I would see all network devices EXCEPT the cameras.
